Korea Grad Trip Day 3 - 17Jun10

Day 3: Ewha Women's University + Hello Kitty Cafe + Street Soccer Match Watching

This is how we look when we were going to bed the previous night. Super plain. We were discussing plans for the next day.

Breakfast at a nearby eatery near our guesthouse. Our breakfast were mostly taken here as it serves super delicious food and at a reasonable price too.

See, super delicious right. Oh my! I missed them.

Individuals with their food (I forced them to take individuals pics every time we had food)

Mischievous snap shots

Taking the MRT to our destination again. We simply can take photos anywhere at anytime.

We went to Ewha Womens University area for some shopping. It's more like a sightseeing trip with all green stuffs around us.

Mini bites along the streets.

We saw a ajuma (auntie) selling kittens and chicks in the MRT station.
Not sure if it's legal but they really look cute~ :)

Shopping and shopping..

Here we're at the Hello Kitty Cafe. NICE~
Everything so Hello Kitty! LOVE IT!

Super cute and delicious!

Posing with the restaurant's decorations

Our group photo outside the Hello Kitty Restaurant (",)

We had our dinner at a nearby BBQ shop (we're having BBQ almost everyday!)

On our way to watch the live Olympic soccer match between Korea and another country.
Love that picture when I looked back standing sideways :)

We all wore red to blend in Korea's culture, sitting in the middle of the road, together with so many others who also came to show their support for the Korean team. United I must say. We were so lucky to be able to catch up with the enormous event.

After the crowd, we went to Dongdaemun for some late night shopping (it closes at 430am- 5am). Hungry and we bought sausages again -_- LOL!

Group photo outside the shopping area. So red~

Korea Grad Trip Day 2 - 16Jun10

Day 2 of the Grad Trip was full of interesting activities as well. We went to Everland Amusement Park for rides, animals and night parades!!

Breakfast at the Korean Traditional Porridge Restaurant (Drama Boys Over Flowers shop)
Super big bowl of porridge with varieties of sweet or salty porridge. Thumbs Up!

While waiting for our orders to be served.

After seeing Ling's expression, do you think it tastes good?
Actually, it really tastes good, he's just trying to act. Haha! But sweet porridge might not suit most of us. It tastes weird.

Taking the MRT to a stop, which we transfer to a bus to reach our final destination of the day: EVERLAND!

Roads and places we passed by..

At the entrance of Everland
While buying the admission tickets (costs approx. $31 per person), taking photos with the telephone booth is a MUST too. Haha!

Explanation Brochures for Foreign and Korean Guests

I bought a Minnie Mouse bow hairband, trying to act young and cute!
Thick skin but who cares? I'm a tourist SO WHAT? LOL!

Going round and round in circles rides definitely is not Weisi and my forte that's why we're giving it a miss. You know, we don't want to puke before the fun starts.

The Rock Spin is also a crazy ride. Von's mum felt ill after this ride and need to take a rest.
OS: Luckily Weisi and me skipped this as well. But we did took other rides except these two.

Acting again -_-
We just love all the drama :p

Saw some girls posing beautiful pics too and I took them secretly without them knowing.

Grab a bite time is here again. We had burgers and crispy chicken at the Burger Cafe.
Looks tempting! Yum!

Taking the sky rides to the animal kingdom
Here we are, at the animal kingdom, seeing all the animals. It's kind off like a zoo.

We were looking at the dog trainer training the cute little dogs.
KAWAII~

So busy posing with the Friendly Ranch
I especially love the pic with the Sun Wu Kong

Hungry for some quick bites?
The sausage really looks delicious :)

Photos with the animal seats found in the park.
I chanced upon a cute korean girl and managed to take a photo with her. Ha! You'll see more of that (",)

Having some kind of drama ongoing here. LOL!
Oh! I also took some photos with CG too~ So cute~

Group photos :)

The Ultimate Roller Coaster on Earth!
I conclude that it's the most exciting coaster ride ever in my life. Real scary!

Night Parade in the park. Cool!

We had our dinner settled in a restaurant in the park.
Kimchi and radish is a MUST!

Korea Grad Trip Flight & Day 1 - 14/15Jun10

I had long wanted to blog about my Korean Graduation Trip which took place last year in June. Oh my! What took you so long to update the details? -_- It actually took me a year plus to consolidate all the photos (for you info, our whole gang took 5000+ photos in Korea and I really spent quite a lot of time on consolidating). Of course, my laziness played a part as well.

Just a summary of my feelings for the trip. It really was an interesting and memorable moment for all of us. I fell in love with Korea from the trip too. LOVE the food, LOVE the fashion, LOVE friendly people, LOVE the scenery, LOVE the dramas etc. And because of my love for Korea stuffs, I've signed up Korean Language class with Jason (LCG) at Daehan Korean Language School. Woo-hoo~ How great!

Setting off from Singapore
Super excited expressions as clearly shown in the photos. Ha!
From left: Xiao Ming & Ling; Von's Mum & Von's Brother
Von, Weisi, Zuo Yuan and me were taking another flight due to insufficient seats in the plane
We were super super excited
But.. Have a closer look at this picture as Zuo Yuan is faking a smile
LMAO!

Posing with our passports and air tickets
Super HAPPY! (",)

Twosome Photos:
Me and Von; Weisi and Zuo Yuan

Yeah! Prepared to set off!

Enjoying the facilities of the plane, watching movies provided.

Having our meals on the plane too.
Super yummy!

We've reached Hong Kong Airport for a change of flight to Seoul
Having a small break in between the waiting time
FYI, it's around 1am at that moment
Yawn~

After meeting up with Chen Ming, Ling, Von's Mum & Von's Brother, we took all sorts of photos around HK airport. This is what I call "typical tourists"
LOL! :D

We asked a passerby to help us take a photo with the Cathay Pacific background board.
And guess what he said. "What's so good to take with the Cathay Pacific board? I simply can't understand it!"
Haha! Hilarous!

Trying to act Legend Reborn -_-

Had HK's famous Maggi Noodles before boarding the plane to Seoul

It's time to zzz in the plane as the time to reach Seoul would be 6am in the morning (which is 4 hours plus). Seriously, My eyes are tired and painful during the HK-to-Seoul flight. Didn't really sleep a lot.

Jean came from Busan (another side of Korea) to meet us at the airport
Amazing isn't it? We all came from different locations and come to meet at a common point :)

Some snapshots of the whole airport and airplane process

Day 1, 7am: Macdonald's breakfast at Incheon Airport
SHIOK!
We got a shock when the cashier lady spoke. SUPER HIGH PITCH and SUPER SWEET TONE. Ha! I bet guys love all that.

Sorting out our transport fees etc and waiting for Jean's arrival

Shops in the airport!
Super cool! All in Korean (which I don't understand at all) -_-

We took the airport bus to our Guest House (Namsam Guest House) located at Myeong Dong.
It cost approximately $9 per person if I did not remember wrongly.

Sightseeing Korea in the bus was an enjoyment too :)

After settling down, we went to the opposite shopping area of our Guest House for a bite.
Super huge shopping area and we were all delighted!

There's simply too many shops to visit! I totally LOVE it! KPop idols (spokesperson) posters could be seen everywhere in/outside the shop.

Strolling down the streets of Myeong Dong's shopping area was such a wonderful experience.

We settle down in a restaurant which serves mixed fried rice and noodles
Totally LOVE it to the max! But the bad thing is, you'll smell after you left the restaurant. Never mind, who cares? Free flow of Kimchi, Radish, Soup and Mul (water).
Direct frying of the ingredients and rice/noodles in front of us. Very entertaining!

HUNGRY! We're hungry! Ha!

After the delicious lunch, we went to take Korea MRT at Myeong Dong station.

Purchasing our main public transport (MRT) card for next few days in Korea.
The machines were as high tech as Singapore's too.
Thumbs Up!

Some of the statues seen in Gangnum area

Korea food culture: Pay for the meat, rice and get all the rest for FREE!
My favorite was the sweet pumpkin! Mashita!

We were having our 1st BBQ meal at a restaurant in Gangnum
SHIOK!
