Science Center Exploring 28May11

As all of you know, Singapore is just a small red dot and pretty much nothing to do when we're reached the age of 20+. So on this fine day, after much consideration, ch and I decided to head to the Science Center for some science recap and exploring. But seriously, I think the trip only made us seemed like we're not that intelligent. Ha! We couldn't understand quite a lot of things which were displayed out. I think most of the people at our age or older would feel the same way as us. Anyway, it's always good to discover new things or objects that is happening around us all the time.

we had our late lunch at the Macdonald's just outside Science Center at around 4pm
it's a mistake as the Science Center closes at 6pm and we were happily and slowly having our lunch
we only realize that when it was 15min away from 6pm (announcement made for us to leave as they're closing) and started to panic as we're still far from completing the explore
Ch thought it closes at 8pm (giving wrong info) -_-

I loved the round bell mirrors as it reflects many of our duplicated images out
Ch's acting the expression of being shocked by the electric chair (ok, I forced him to take the picture)
emm.. not very convincing
LOL!

Oh my! We're a couple who loves to act

saw a super cute mix-blood child in Macdonalds and sneakily took some photos of him
Stagnant frog resting at the bottom right pic
Can you spot it?

Seoul Yummy with Dada 21May11

Food, Food, Food is what the both of us thought of all the time. Ha! I'll get really excited, especially when it comes to my favorite food, Korean Cuisine or Desserts. This fine day, we went to Seoul Yummy restaurant located at Square 2 to satisfy my craving for Korean food. For your info, Square 2 is a shopping centre catering mostly for Korean residents or Korean lovers, selling mostly Korean products and food.

I must say, Seoul Yummy offers a very reasonable good price and with high standards too. You can have half a ginseng chicken broth at $13.99+ (not necessary to get a whole chicken if you come in small groups) which is definitely value for money. The taste is also fantastic and you can even find glutinous rice inside the chicken. Thumbs up! The only flaw might be the small side dishes that were served before your orders came. It doesn't have any unique or special taste to keep me from craving more.

But overall, I still conclude that it's a MUST TRY Korean restaurant. Highly recommended to people who are really in for Korean Cuisine. It's reasonably cheap and yummy!

I'll suggest that you can skip the barley tea as it's quite bitter
ice water would be better

the not-so-fantastic side dishes

super delicious main course dishes
Saba fish; Ginseng Chicken Broth; Brown Rice; & Glass Noodles
Shiok!

Vivo City & the Fruit Tart 8May11

Just a normal casual day with my dada. Window shopping, eating and taking photos. The dessert that I always wanted to try, Fruit Paradise tarts. It always look so sumptuous in the glass panels whenever I walked past the shop.

The price was rather expensive for a thin slice of tart but the winning factor was with the height of stuffs on the tart. Ha! But we did waited for a very long time before our tart was served and I was wondering, what's taking them so long to just take out a slice and decorate it with chocolate syrup? (we waited for 15-20 min) It's just going to take like 3 min? Even the customers on the next table beside us whom had their order later than us, had their tarts arrived earlier. What's wrong with the management?

had ramen but did not find it very delicious as the soup base was too salty
can't really remember the name of the shop but the characteristic wise, it had some sea creatures (fake) decorated outside the restaurant
maybe that might ring a bell to you?

while waiting for the tart to be served, took photos to amuse ourselves
SEE, even ch is yawning
LOL!

the tart is beautiful isn't it?
there you see the beautiful menu with lots of mouth watering tarts and drinks

Ignorant and Foolish

It's so frustrating to have an ignorant and foolish sibling that does all sorts of childish things to you. Irritating! It just made me want to teach her a lesson. Maybe not one, but many lots of lessons to be a grown up.

I guess all of you who knows me well, must have guessed that the topic is my elder sister. What kind of words should I use to describe her? Selfish; Ignorant; Lazy; Dirty; Unhygienic; Childish; and the most important of all, Unfilial.

My note to her:
To: Theng

Your own stuffs, please pack yourself. Don't always rely on the maid to pack your room and your stuff. Your bed, your clothes, your pyjamas, your used cotton wool etc. I've already told Chris (the maid) not to help you pack your stuffs anymore. These simply chores I believe you will be able to complete yourself. You're already 27 so please be like a 27 year-old adult. Even your water bottle you also need the maid to help you to wash?

Pyjamas: Bring them to the toilet for washing instead of just leaving them on the floor.
Bed: Pack your own bed.
Clothes: Store them in your cupboard and don't leave them lying on my bed. I was kind enough to let you put them on my bed but you didn't clear them off when I came back. So you will have to find a new storage for them.
Used cotton wool: Throw them away YOURSELF and don't leave them lying around on the floor. Expect the maid to help you clear? Are you handless or legless?
Water Bottle: Wash YOURSELF!

*You act like a "fei ren" when you do all these selfish acts. Please grow up! Don't wait for people to spoonfeed you!

Note: Your act of removing the TV controller battery is so childish. But anyway, I can still switch on the TV with other methods. So your effort is wasted. Now, have a taste of your own medicine!

Warning: If you wanted to do something childish again, I suggest you think twice. Because I'll make sure you suffer the same loss at least twice the amount. Please "zi wo jian tao"!

her always messy room

items that have been lying around since we moved in the house

she could spent lots of money on herself instead of giving parents allowance
FYI: she's been working for about 10 years
not a single allowance penny was given to our parents
she loves herself more than anyone else

still have the face to buy a iPhone 4
thumbs up for not feeling any guilt

never in her lifetime did she ever packed and tidy her bed
NEVER!

Her clothes lying around everywhere

Her used cotton wool
She just threw them on the floor waiting for the maid to clear
Come on! The maid is not to look after you, but the elderly at home

Towel chucked on the bed stairs

Her pyjamas were always saw lying in the same location
Waiting for the maid to pick it up for you again?
Gosh!

Childish act to remove the TV controller battery
My present for her is the same treatment that she gave me
She should be taught a lesson seriously
A taste of her own medicine!

My stuffs are very minimal and all packed nicely at a corner
So what's wrong with her?

OS: Those who wanted to know more, you can go to my facebook or search for my sister fb name TingTing Yap and see the comments etc. It was like a shooting game with comments shooting here and there. I have nothing to hide and only people who did something wrong, would be angry at the other party. She thought she could always be the queen at home. Someone has to put a stop to it but apparently at the moment, she doesn't feel remorseful at all. Even my mum agreed that we should teach her a lesson. Ha! The truth is very obviously revealed.

see how happy my nephews and niece are when it comes to birthday celebrations
No one can be happier than them :)

Paper Model & Us

I remember that the three of us were on our way to SHOW LUO's concert on the 14th of May where we were stopped by two ladies to pose for a pic with the Paper Models that were out on the Orchard Streets. We choose the most outstanding one of all and hurriedly shot a pic just within a few seconds. The outcome.. was not too bad! Don't you think so?

OS: I was hiding a ice cream behind my hands. LOL!
And for your info, the pic was searched online by Weili.
We got name cards provided by them to guide us through the search.
