Weili's 24th B'dae Celebration 3Jul11

Finally, it was Weili's turn to turn 24. Congrats! We celebrated it with ym's new car, xiao bai (White Honda Fit) as she fetches us all around singapore. Woo-hoo~ We love xiao bai!

We went to Maritime House located at Cantonment Road and it took us quite some time to locate it, wearing beautiful dresses and heels that could kill a person around in the neighborhood. It was quite a sight as people around just keep staring at us (for wearing so inappropriate and behaving so abnormal). We just simply don't care! Ha! We are vain, so what? LOL!

We had very cheap Western food in the restaurant of Maritime House and took lots of pictures. Then, it's chilled out time at TCC located at the Keppel, by the bay (somewhere near Vivo City). I must say, with xiao bai, you can go anywhere. Thanks for the cool ride ym :)

At TCC, we gave her a birthday card (which we wrote on the spot in front of her, its our usual practice) and had a slice of cake to celebrate her birthday. Simple and sweet! It's ladies night so come on and dance and celebrate and play. We did had fun and I hereby, represent the three of us (ym, fang and me) again to wish Weili a very happy 24th birthday. Have fun!

Dada's 24th B'dae 15Jun11

It's was chee hong's 24th birthday some time back ago. The both of us took the day off and went out for celebration in town. Woo-hoo! How shiok is it to lie on the bed till 9plus in the morning on a weekday?

We had decided to have our lunch at Senki Sushi located at Somerset, just opposite the Com Centre. It was a Japanese sushi buffet (ch loved sushi buffet a lot and therefore no doubt, it's the best place to have that for his birthday lunch) which I google under ladyironchef and was really looking forward to it.

But sad to say, it was not that great after all the anticipation and something bad happened throughout. There were two customers before us, who already had their food ordered, and were awaiting for them to be served. It was a surprise to us as there were only two customers in the restaurant and the number of staffs working were actually thrice as much as the customers.

We were just starting with our buffet feast and suddenly, we heard some commotion ongoing over at their side. Then, we just hear these "There's a cockroach in the tray (used to serve the food) so we wanted to cancel all our orders." After saying all that, we saw the waitresses acknowledging the fact of the cockroach and apologizing for the mistake. The female customer carry on to say, "We will only pay for the drink and not the food." (they had already ate a plate of salmon sashimi)

I guess the waitress didn't really receive any proper hospitality education as she insisted (in a polite way) the customer to pay what they had consumed. Under such circumstances, the restaurant shouldn't even collect a single cent from the customers at all. Look! A cockroach was found so close to the food that was for human's consumption. This was simply unacceptable! A wrong move and the restaurant would have to fold and compensate to the customers. In the end, the customer paid for whatever they had eaten but she mentioned that she would lodge a complain to the authority. It's definitely a right choice to do. If I were in her shoes, I would not make things so easy for them.

After witnessing such a shocking scene, ch and me were like "So now what? Do we continue to eat or leave like the previous customers?" We had already eaten quite some stuffs and it was an anticipated buffet for us so in the end, we decided to stay put to finish the buffet. Luckily, we didn't get any stomachaches after the food so I guess we were safe from all those cockroach germs and bacteria. But, that will be the last time I'll visit the restaurant.

We then shopped around for some hours before settling down for the X-Men First Class movie. It was a fantastic movie, really. I love the supernatural powers that the mutants possessed. Super cool!

I gave him his birthday card and the D.I.Y scrapbooking that I did for him. I really think that I'm a D.I.Y person as I seemed to be pretty good at all these :)

HAPPY 24TH BIRTHDAY DADA!!

the buffet looks perfectly ok here but..

we still have the mood to pose for pictures. Ha!

AVA's at Togi 29Jun11

This was our second meet-up for dinner. It's my turn to treat and of course, it's Korean Cuisine again. We met up after work this fine day at Chinatown's Korean Togi Restaurant. It was my first time there and a first time for the both of them too. Oh! I forgot to introduce who they are. Ashley and Vivien, both are my boyfriend's brothers' girlfriends. It sounds complicated isn't it? LOL! As our age are about the same, we can totally click, with fashion and food and boyfriends. Ha! I have a very strong feeling that we'll be very good friends, really :)

looking at the menu deciding what to have
it's my call that night!

the korean food looks super delicious right?
but I only like the Saba fish and the mini silver fish
the rest of the food were normal, didn't really amazed me

I bought some desserts, COVA cakes from paragon
I bought vouchers from sgdeal.sg at a discounted price!

Father's Day Celebration 26Jun11

My family had celebrated Father's Day a week later of the actual day at a nearby restaurant (Senja - Cashew Community Centre), having a big feast and a get-together with all our family members.

Seriously speaking, I love my nephews and niece a lot! They look so cute when they are very obedient. Ha! I love my family a lot as well, in times of good and bad. And of course, that excludes my elder sister. I don't love her, but I don't hate her to the core too. I'm one who forgets and forgives easily which I think I'm pretty soft-hearted or maybe I should use the word useless. After a certain cooling period, I totally forgot how angry I was at that point of time and thought to myself, the only way to happiness is to forgive and forget. And I did so. Tolerance is the golden word!

while waiting for our food to be served
my niece is so pretty right?

food at seafood paradise was not bad but pretty costly

Weina's 21st B'dae 25Jun11

It has been three years since I've been to a 21st birthday celebration. Ha! How time flies! Anyway, back to the topic, it was Weina's (Weili's younger sister) 21st birthday chalet on that day. She invited all the four of us (4inl0ve) including Horsey although I didn't really speak to her at all. LOL! Never mind, the more the merrier :)

We were told that the dress code was blue through facebook and apparently, the five of us were the 'blue-est' that day. Ha! We were so co-operating and god, we love it! Especially when my favorite color is blue, and of course I went there all in blue. Blue dress, blue flats, blue NaRaYa bag, blue hair clips, blue jacket, and my 'a-bit' blue earrings. You may consider that a bit crazy :p

But we did had fun, taking pictures and writing on the guest book. So when's the next 21st girl or boy which we will be celebrating? Nancy's?

so blue~~

LCG Botanic Gardens Picnic 18Jun11

This fine day, LCG gang decided to have a picnic at the Botanic Gardens. The idea of being surrounded by the green and flowers was great and frankly speaking, I LOVE IT. But.. If we could feel the wind within the enclosed performance area, everything would be perfect.

To my surprise, a lot of people appeared at the Botanic Gardens, to watch the piano performance or as a family gathering. You could easily spot kids and dogs running around, playing. It was a rare scene, and it made me so happy to see all these happy moments.

waiting for the others at the gate
