Emcee of the night! :)

'各位来宾晚上好! 我是您今晚的司仪!'
I was one of the wedding emcees for Shaun and Ruth's wedding.
It was a GREAT experience!
Ruth & Shaun + Shaun's sister at the back (I KOP their picture from facebook :x)

Shaun is Weimin's colleague and my partner Zinc is the
girlfriend of Kevin (who is also Shaun's colleague)
Please don't ask why the couple chose us because we seriously have no idea as well, ha!
The wedding dinner was held on a Wednesday (18 May 11) at Park Royal Beach Road Hotel. Since it was a working day, I took half day off from work to prepare for the rehearsal at 5pm. For your info, that was the one and only rehearsal which we had and the emcee script was prepared by the groom and emailed to us only 3 days before the wedding!
*cold sweat* imagine either me or zinc freaked out on actual day and ruin their wedding?!

Wedding emcee scripts are quite standard. Almost the same for all the weddings we have attended, but it's the coordination of video, music, dry-ice, march-in etc. The timings MUST be perfect! They are as detailed as fixing the door to be opened at exactly the 28th sec of the song!

The opening speech as follow:-

Z: A very good evening, I’m Zinc and this is my partner Yue Mei. Thank you for taking time off your busy schedule to attend the wedding of Shaun Lim, son of Mr & Mrs Lim Poh Lye and Ruth Lim, daughter of Mr & Mrs Lim Kian Ann.

YM: 各位来宾晚上好!非常感谢大家抽空出席林宝来夫妇的林玮杰林建安次女林怡慧的结婚晚宴。希望你们有个愉快的夜晚。

Z: On behalf of the wedding couple and their parents, we would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for your presence at this joyous occasion.

YM: 在此,我们谨代表这对新人及双方家长由衷地感谢你们给于这对新人的祝福。

Z: Before we invite the couple to join us in the ballroom, allow us to take you through the life journeys of Shaun and Ruth from childhood to their courtship days, through a short video clip.

YM:在新人还未入席前,让我们透过一个影片,看一看他们走过的人生旅程,以及他们从相识到相恋的过程。

Z: Please sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Losing 8kg in 8 weeks effortlessly

As much as requested by my friends. I creating this note to share with friends how to lose 8kg in 8 weeks effortlessly. As much as i say it is effortlessly there are still some mental discipline needed on the side of this diet. Not much exercise is needed. Results will vary and honestly it WILL WORK! Cause i tried it myself.

Currently i am in the 9 weeks mark. My weight have dropped from 84kg to 73kg. That's 11kg in 9 weeks.

No medicine needed. No exercise regime needed. Just purely watching what you eat.
For those who wish to shed some weight. This is a fantastic way to do it! For those who are already thin. Please do not expect miracle results to happen from this. Cause in this first place you do not have much to lose anyway!. So far there is totally so side effects from my body and energy level is much better! As i am not a doctor so follow this with caution and at your own risk.
Here goes.

Overview
The concept of my diet is based on a modified version of the atkins diet. which i guess most of you guys would have heard of. But its slightly different. Cause what i have come up with is a diet which is more health, more sustainable.

There is very basic understanding from people out there about sugar. Sugar comes in many forms but those artificially created are almost totally useless to the body and thus we take in a lot of those unknowingly.

The aim is to keep your insulin level down in our body.
Insulin is the chemical that sends a signal to your brain and tummy that you are "hungry". Why? Insulin is produced by our body to break down sugar. If you take in too much sugar during a meal. Your body will react in producing more insulin to break down the sugar. After it has completed the task. Your body will still have a lot left over insulin which are not used. So your brain will trigger you that you are hungry "please eat something". That will lead to overeating. snacking in between meals. feeling more hungry after you have eaten 2 bowls of rice 1-2 hours later? Indirectly the above will lead to your over consumption of food. Thus making you gain more weight.

Food Discipline
I shall stick with what we Singaporean eat.
Remember you are not to skip any meals and every meal you must eat till you are 70% full.
If you are in doubt of the food you buying from super mart.

A general guild line is look at the nutrition information!
Carbohydrates, Total after minus Total Dietary Fibre should not exceed 4grams per 100g.
Cause the rest of the carbo are SUGAR. Its actually shocking to find most of the food in the super mart has crazily tons of SUGAR in it.

Sugar that comes in potatoes and natural stuff are less harmful then say sugar that comes with your drinks or tons of Rice and Noodles.

During weekends with friends and family i would eat normally. Per say I still eat rice or noodles and potatoes. But in small portions.

Bare this in mind. Eating protein based food, you will feel more satisfied and fully than carbo food.

Breakfast
Cannot
No more than 1 slice of white bread.
No more than 2 slice of multi grain bread.
No potatos. Starchy foods
No rice or noodle.
Can
Soya milk no sugar
Mix noodle store just ingredients only
Cheese and eggs are good stuff
Mac Donald's breakfasts are good (Throw away all bread, half the hashbrown and no pancakes)

Lunch
Cannot
No rice or noodle or kway chap or roti prata. (Flour is a no no)
No potatos. Starchy foods
Can
Mix vegetable rice only the "ingredients"
Western food with bread and fries changed to vegetables

Dinner
Same as Lunch
Do not over eat and don't eat supper

Snacks
As long as your follow the nutrition guide above you will be safe to snack. But do not over eat.

Drinks
All soft drinks are not allowed.
Only Non sugar soft drinks , Diet coke are allowed.
For guys. Yes you can drink liquor freely.

Exercise
Once a week of causal running is enough. If you are lazy. Skip this.

As the saying goes "You are what you eat!".
ALL THE BEST!
