Wisdom Tooth Surgery

I just had my wisdom tooth surgery a few hours ago. It was a different experience I would say.

Went into the dental at 9am and came out at 945am with two of my wisdom tooth extracted. The process? Not to mention it. I was frightened and terrified with the thought of painfulness after the surgery. I was shaking and trembling throughout the surgery. Very INTENSE. But I guess anyone would react that way if they were in the same situation as me.

I was glad that I couldn't feel any pain during the surgery because of the numb injections and this definitely calm me down a little. A few hours later, the pain came back when the numbness effect die off. I keep on tasting blood and had some difficulties in opening my mouth to change a new cloth for stopping the bleed. Yes! Its PAINFUL. But I was glad that the pain only occur to a small part of my body. I could still do my stuffs as usual without any major difficulties.

Conclusion: Wisdom tooth are of no benefits to us and therefore I encourage everyone to have them all extracted before they start to affect the other normal teethes and gums. Trust me! Don't wait till you get the surrounding teethes decayed then take action.

Take good care of your teethes and go for a regular cleaning teeth session. It reduces the chances of having bad teethes.

Interview

Jobscentral interviewed 3 employees from my company and the article is now featured on the Jobscentral website! My buddy Ting is one of them and since the article will only be available for a few months, I've copy paste Ting's part here:-

(“This company appealed to me because of the amount of recognition it has in the market,” says Ting Chye Cher, a Certification Executive with TÜV SÜD PSB.

Armed with a diploma in Civil and Environmental Engineering and past working experiences in construction, marine, oil and gas industries, the 32-year-old was drawn to TÜV SÜD PSB for its wide brand recognition among industry peers. “From where I was from, especially in the construction industry, you always hear about TÜV SÜD PSB. Before you buy a product, the first thing you ask is if it’s TÜV SÜD PSB-certified. When I found out that there was a job opportunity for me in TÜV SÜD PSB, I did not hesitate to try.”

Since joining TÜV SÜD PSB more than a year ago, Chye Cher has gone from helping customers on their product certification inquiries to playing an active role in the issuing of such certifications.

Tasked with the responsibility of administering certifications under the “Products Listing Scheme” for the Fire Safety and Shelter Department, he is responsible for products such as fire rated doors, fire extinguishers, fire protection materials and partition systems.

Alternating between days spent in the office reviewing applications submitted by clients, answering queries, attending meetings, and visiting clients’ factories to conduct inspections and audits, Chye Cher is constantly stimulated by the wide variety of tasks allocated to him. )

4inl0ve's Studio Photos 11Dec10

It's 4inl0ve's first time ever to have our portfolios taken at a studio. But.. the studio is super cui as its a super tiny mini one (just a mini branch of Serangoon Broadway). I got this photo package during my convocation at $50 which entitles me for a 8R studio photo with frame. No make-up, no costumes, no nothing (what can you expect from a $50 deal). We decided to go with our own theme (initially was a white bed sheet but was changed to body-fitting black dresses last minute, and I really mean last minute - a day just before the shoot) instead of the normal graduation boring theme.

I doubt the studio ever had this kind of requests before as the studio was just for shooting graduation photos purposes. I told the photographer (was corrected by himself after we called him camera man) that we wanted S.N.S.D style, asking him to guide us along as it's our first time doing this kind of shots. He was taken by surprise initially, taking some glances at the S.N.S.D i-weekly magazine that I brought along but had only to go for it (we left him with no choice).

As expected, we were super stiff in the shots and I believed the photographer were clueless on handling us too. Awkwardness was the only word I could use but we did manage to find a photo with our best looks. Great! I will upload it up when I received it in around 10 days time.

Rehearsing with the white bed sheet
OMG! So embarrassing!

dressed up in black dresses and posing while waiting for our slot
what do you think of our new looks?

after the stiff photo shots, we revert back to our old normal selves and had some mischievous poses
AH! THAT IS OUR REAL LOOKS!!

taking some vain photos inside the washroom
OS: we really don't suit formal photo shoots *_*

relieved and happy inside the washroom
I really loved the big mirror inside

we were starving (wanted to look our best at the photo shoot so ate little for lunch) and decided on Fish & Co for dinner
everyone was delighted :)

delicious food after a long day was definitely a must-have to reward ourselves

Another thing to mention, I'm having my wisdom tooth surgery next Sunday 19Dec10 at 9am. The thought of it makes my hair stand!

TÜV SÜD PSB DnD - 26 Nov 2010

Time flies and I've been working at my current company for 3 mths as well!
Perhaps a little introduction on my new company and my work scope:-

TÜV SÜD PSB is a recognised testing body that provides services for product certification, auditing, testing and inspection.

As a Certification Executive in the Product Inspection centre, I am the one in charge of Mechanical products under the "Product Listing scheme"

In summary, regulated building products will need to be certified under this scheme and I'll be the one giving advice on acceptable test standards, processing applications, going through test reports, conducting factory / site inspections etc to ensure that the product complies to the requirements.

I'm glad to say that I LOVE MY JOB! :D
(at least up to now and minus the chim and wordy test reports)

I get to meet people from different trades and get out of the boring office for site / factory inspection. This means that I will need to travel if their factory is out of Singapore!
(But of cause I will need to wait till I'm more experienced)
I only followed my senior to Batam ONCE for an on job training to date. :(
Eh, my buddy went Japan before leh! ENVY.

感动落泪 for making the RIGHT decision to quit my previous job after 3 years.
A round of applause for me please.
You seriously need to find a job that you enjoy working, a nice environment with good colleagues because out of the 7 days in a week, you are working for 5 days!
TRUST ME, you'll feel happier when you wake up every morning.

Ok back to the main topic which I intend to blog - my DnD!
This is the FIRST DnD in my life because my previous company is just too ***** (lost for words) to even organise a dinner at kopitiam.
I will be contented to have anyyyyy form of simple company gathering
BUT NO THEY DON'T HAVE IT. *&^%$#@
________________________________________________

DnD was held at RWS Convention Centre on 26 Nov 2010.
Staff were allowed to go home at 3pm to prepare for the night!

Pictures taken by professional photograhers were made into coasters

The cui-iest 冷盘 I've ever eaten
Welcome to TÜV SÜD PSB Dinner and Dance 2010!
