ahcai's 24th birthday 19Mar11

It's my 24th birthday last Sunday 20Mar11 :)

3inl0ve, together with Horsey and my dada came out on last Saturday to celebrate my birthday. We had planned a whole list of exciting activities to last us for a whole day of fun. Early morning at 1030am, we were already at Chinatown having our lovely Pedicure session. Yes! Time to pamper ourselves for working so hard. Back on last Thursday, the Pamper-Yourself Plan had already started. 3inl0ve gave me a surprise - An one-hour SPA or FACIAL at Body Wellness. I'm so grateful and thankful for everything. I love my beloved 3inl0ve so much. Cheers! After so, we went to the opposite street for Dim Sum lunch. Very fulfilling indeed.

After lunch, it was like 2plus in the afternoon and we headed to Plaza Singapura for Arcade Games. Thinking back, when was the last time you went to the arcade for some gaming with your friends? Perhaps Secondary School? We played the "three-color-button" game and I'm still the last survivor among all even after the upgrading version. For your info, I was a superb player of the game back in secondary school. My skills had not rusted a bit and I'm pretty pleased with my results.

Then, we played Mario Kart against each other and I was crowned the champion again :) Twice in a row. Excited! Basketball throwing was our next game. Horsey and Chee Hong had the highest score and I was a little disappointed with myself for not scoring well. For your info again, I was a basketball school team player back in secondary school. Oh my! Anyway, that's not going to damper my day, and the fact that my liking for basketball will not change.

Then, street fighter was the ultimate game that drained us all out. We each had a versus battle and the winner stays. I battled 3inl0ve and won beautifully with me not even knowing how I actually won (I just keep pressing all the buttons anyhow). Ha! Hilarious! That explains why we were all drained out of energy after the game (everyone did the same thing). I was perspiring like mad with all those intensity going on during the game which I find it amazing. I lose to Horsey after some fierce battle but I was contented and happy enough. Ym, Weili, chee hong and me went for the drum game and we concluded that we were not that good with rhythms. While Horsey battled with other strangers, he fought hard for seven rounds. Man, he's getting the hang of it. With that, we end our Arcade Game session.

Next up was a 2-hour $6 nett K-Box session at Cineleisure at level 8. Super worth it!

Last but not least, dinner at the restaurant that I picked. It's a Korean Restaurant which was patronized by lots of Korean singers/actors when they came to Singapore, Sarang located at Orchard Central. I was super looking forward to it and had made a reservation a week before. But, to our disappointment, the food was not as good as what we had at Seoul Good which was located at The Central. Food at Sarang comes in super duper tiny portions (that explains it's not very expensive) and the taste were not to the max. Disappointment! You know what, of all, I loved the Traditional Kimchi the most which I believed could be easily bought in Korean Supermarket in Singapore. But we did had some pretty good atmosphere, lazing and taking pictures in the restaurant. Chee Hong surprises me with a birthday cake (I already senses something weird when he talked to the boss of Sarang). So it's actually a half-surprise but I really appreciate it very much. What's birthday without a birthday cake?

you can see that Horsey is really very excited over the Korea dinner

I received a birthday card from 3inl0ve and my present from them (red packet). Satisfied and contented, to have such best friends with me for a super long period of time. We encountered all sorts of different and difficult scenarios and had all overcome them hand in hand. Long live 4inl0ve :)

Thanks guys, for all the effort and time to celebrate my birthday. I'm totally grateful for everything.

5 Years Anniversary with Dada 16Mar11

Time passes real fast. One glance and 5 years are gone. May more 5 years come to us as we experience the smiles; the adventures: the ordinary; and the laughter..

After our work, we went for korea cuisine at thomson area - Auntie Kim's
but.. I would only give the restaurant 3 stars.
The food were very expensive and most of them comes in small portions (not worth the price).
We ordered Kinchi Tofu Stew (super small bowl - $14.50),
Pancake - $16 (order only if you go in groups of 4 as it's very big),
Charcoal BBQ Chicken (super small portion, not well marinated as compare to what I had in Korea & not BBQ by ourselves - $22) &
Kimchi Chicken Fried Rice - $15

That would be my last visit to Auntie Kim's

Side dishes were not bad, especially the Kimchi.
Different places offer different kinds of Kimchi and not all were to my liking.
But the restaurant's Kimchi suits me to the extreme. LOVE IT!

Having the ready-cooked bbq chicken in vege-wrap.
After visiting Korea to taste their authentic Korean Dishes, There's really quite some room for Singapore's Korea Restaurants to catch up.

I've got flowers from ch early morning at around 9 plus. He didn't deliver the flowers himself, it's a florist delivery man who sent it to my office.
I received an unknown number call while I was working in the office at 9 plus and suddenly, I heard some vibrations from my handphone (my handphone is always in silent mode). I picked it up and the guy said: Miss you have a delivery at the guard house so could you please come down and collect it? I was shocked for a few seconds and eventually, my excitment and happiness overlapped the shock. I happily walked to the guard house and couldn't stopped smiling. It was a real surprise! And I LOVE Surprises!

Sitting under my block for gifts exchange after the dinner.
I drove his van home and I'm proud to say that I'll soon become a very skilled MANUAL DRIVER :)
Actually, we only exchanged cards as we couldn't find any items that we really liked (the design and style of the item). But, I'll be giving him a Sony MP3 which was ordered online(cater for running purpose) and it's currently at delivery stage. As for mine, it's still open for choices.
Presents for me = A bouquet of flowers and a D.I.Y. card (he insisted that it's scrapbooking -_-).
Presents for him: A D.I.Y. Scrapbooking card (real scrapbooking) and a Sony MP3.

His card for me. I was touched by the effort in doing the card as I didn't expect much of his creativy.
Thanks dada! I LOVE the card.

My card for him: Our candid photos to commenmorate our 5th Year together.

KARMA

Do you believe in KARMA? I do. I believe that whatever bad things we do, it would definitely befall back to ourselves or our family.

Last saturday, I met up with weili and ym for shopping at town area. We started off from Far East Shopping Centre from 4pm to Plaza Singapura at 8plus pm. Please allow me to come straight to the point where my topic KARMA began.

We reached PS at about 745pm and headed straight to MDS shop as I needed to collect a piece of dress which I ordered online. After the collection, weili and me stayed in the shop for some browsing and trying while ym wondered off to some other shops (usual practice as ym shops super fast). After some trying, weili decided to purchase an office dress and headed to the cashier for payment. At this point of time, ym called her to locate us. After hanging up the phone call, weili gently threw her iPhone 4 somewhere into her bag and left it unzipped. During this few critical minutes, a passerby stole her iPhone 4 from her unzipped bag and walked off like nobody's business. WTH!!! I can't believe this kind of things is happening among us. Hell with the shoplifter or I use customerlifter instead(stole customer stuff instead of the shop's items).

The details: Weili was paying at 8pm and found her iPhone 4 missing at 810pm. We tried to call her phone but it was cut off after the second call which lead us to believe that it was an intentional theft. We were lost for the first few ten to twenty minutes as to what to do next. But shortly, we realized that there's CCTV in the MDS shop and quickly got hold of the main office number to view the CCTV on Monday (closed on weekends). Weili suspended her line shortly and the three of us tried very hard to think of ways to recover the phone (through some iPhone App etc) but to no avail.

Devastated was the word to describe weili's feelings at that moment. As for ym and me, we could do nothing but just comfort her. Both us of felt guilty in a way. If I didn't bring weili to the shop, none of this would have happened. If ym didn't call her at that time, the shoplifter wouldn't saw her iPhone 4 and had a chance to steal it.

I was even stupid enough to have thought of sending the shoplifter a message to warn her about the CCTV thing.
I wrote: Pls return the phone. If not, we will make police report w the cctv from mds shop. Thanks! Call "my hp number". (Preview of the message could be seen for iPhone).
I even sent it to ym's iPhone first to gauge the length of preview before sending out. We just thought that when the shoplifter switched on the phone, there might be a chance that she would see it so that we could settle it outside instead of making the issue big. Why would I say that it's a stupid act? That's because weili just suspended her line some minutes ago -_-. The shoplifter would never see that message, ever.

Then, the most important thing to do next was to make a police report. YES! The three of us went to the nearest police station, Killiney Road Branch to make a police report. How brave were three girls walking into the police station and make a police report on a crime which happened to them a few hours ago? Please don't be deceived by our appearance. We are not people whom you could trifled with. We would not be like some others whom they would just blame it on their luck and grumble for a few days to end the matter. Instead, we will persue the matter till the criminal is brought to justice. Theft must not be tolerate! This was what we thought therefore without any hesitation, we walked into the police station.

It took about an hour plus for the whole reporting process (including awaiting queue time) and we left the the police station around 11pm. May KARMA befall on the shoplifter as she would soon fall into her own trap and get punished for all her wrong doings. KARMA!!

Brief Description of the shoplifter (based on weili and my memory):
Height: approx. 1.55m
Body Size: Plump
Skin Color: Malay Skin Tone
Hair Length: Shoulder length or shorter
Color of the top she's wearing that day: Green
Alone in crime: No! She's walking with a guy when she left the shop

PLS HELP TO LOOK OUT FOR THE CRIMINAL IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE AROUND PS AREA. TAKE NOTE OF YOUR OWN BELONGINGS AS YOU MIGHT BE THE NEXT TARGET.

CNY gathering with LCG 12Feb11

It's long since we LCG met up for a gather after we've all graduated from NTU. Yes! We have a LCG group in Facebook to update ourselves on all our upcoming activites (although I seldom go fb). Our recent gathering: CNY steamboat dinner with "Lou Hei".

We gathered at Jean's house for the steamboat and went to the nearest NTUC for some shopping beforehand. We bought a wide variety of food, sliced pork; fishballs; sausages; cheese tofu; CP Prawn Wanton etc. I like the cheese tofu best.

I remembered that we bought too many kinds of sausages (hotdogs, cheese hotdog etc) resulting in not able to finish them all that day. Funny acts of the day: Chee Wee got excited at the mention of CP Prawn Wanton; Weisi's eyes opened widely at the mention of abalone clams; and ZuoYuan loves super salty hotdogs.

After e sumptutous dinner, we went to the living room for games. Nitendo Wii - Mario Kart and Asshole "Dai Di" before we head home. I'm proud to be a member of LCG :)
Delicious food for steamboat and "Lou Hei"

Wishing us luck and health for the upcoming year
