Thai Lesson Part 1 - Useful phrases

1. sa wat dee kha : hello: goodbye
2. chan maa jaak sing kha bpoh : "I came from Singapore”
3. phuut thai mai dai : I can't speak Thai
4. phohm yaak bpai : I want to go...
5. haawng dtiiang khuu : a hotel room with two beds
6. haawng naahm yuu thee nai : Where's the restroom?
7. khoon phuut phaa saa ang grit dai mai : "Can you speak English?"
8. nee thao rai : "How much is this?"
9. phaaeng bpai : too expensive
10. yaak dai an thee thuuk gwaa nee na kha : "I want a cheaper one than this."

*Note: kha is use by female, while khrap is use by male.

Example : sa wat dee kha - [spoken by a female]
sa wat dee khrap - [spoken by a male]
