STE Planning Badminton Session 18Sept10

It has been a month plus since I've started working as a planning engineer in STE. Our whole planning team, including our planning manager has only 6 person. Emm.. You might think that our planning department is small but guess what, before I came, planning department only had 4 person. The reason why we are expanding to 6 (just an increase of 2 -_-) is because more projects are coming in for us to work on. Currently I'm helping out on the MRT Downtown Line which is the next line to come after Circle Line finish commencement.

Ok, enough of all these intro. In order to let our team bonding become stronger, we organized a badminton session at YCK stadium. Due to frequent meetings and site inspecting, our team bonding time in office are limited so it was stated by Simon (Planning Manager) that we must have bonding sports event every 2-4 weeks. Therefore, the 1st session was carried out and we did have fun, sweating :)

当别人释出善意时我们要心怀感激

Nobody likes to use their warm face to stick onto other people's cold butt, including ourselves.

There was once which the author went to a wet market. She stopped over at a stall that sells pork for some mince pork. When the stall owner packed nicely to pass it to her, his hand slipped and the bottom of the plastic bag was stained with pork blood. The stall owner immediately got very anxious and started to apologize to her.
The author curiously asked the boss: Why are you so nervous?
The boss replied: Some customers don't like their bags to be stained by pork blood and normally in this situation, they would get angry.
The author laughed bitterly and said: Everyone makes mistake sometimes, is there any body who eat sesame biscuit without dropping the sesames?
At that instance, the boss gave her a big smile and because of that, she had a full day of good mood.

Remember, when someone tries to show their kindness towards you, don't be so stingy to return back a smile.

Teacher's Day 2010 :)

Although I'm only a private tuition teacher, but I still got a gift from my student Geraldo. Happy :) Currently, I'm having 4 students on hand, a Pri. 4, two Pri. 5 and a Sec. 4 one, teaching Chinese and Maths. It was pretty tough when I started teaching each and every student, especially Andrew (has an attitude problem) but I decided to persist on and try to teach them as much as I could. End of the year examinations are nearing and both my students and me are going to try our best to improve and score well. Jia You!

Dear Teacher Audrey, Thank you for teaching me Maths and Chinese. I hope that you can teach me next year. Now, I've got hundred for my Maths again and I have improved my Chinese from 65 to 71 marks this CA2.

Speaking with contents, it's like people with inner self. China people always say, speaking a lot would lose out. The western also have a saying, Silence is gold. Maybe silence not neccessary would see gold, but it's a way of protecting yourself.

It was really hard for us, NTU die-hard friends to gather for a dinner or outing since we've all started work in the cruel society. Despite the fact, certain occasions which serves a purpose for a meet-up is still necessary. What can I say? The friendship of the 4 of us are still as strong as a shiny "gold bar". Emm.. The description may not be very good but it really explains :)

Slowly completing every single little jobs, eventually, we can accomplished big jobs.

Majority of the people decide things according to their mood. How are we going to extend the 3-min enthusiasm? The answer is simply to find the joy in it and establishing the accomplishing moment. Once we've grab hold of the joy, the accomplishing feeling would come to you eventually. For example: There are people who likes to travel, in the end, they became a travel journalist; people who loves food, became a food critic. Every interest may become a "profession". Scientist Edison also found his strong interest in Science, therefore willing to spend extra time and effort to invent lots of objects which benefits us today.
