Bangkok Trip Day 3

Day 3 - Tuesday 11Jan11 (Ym's 24th Bdae)
It's the first time we're celebrating one of our sister's bdae overseas. Congrats to ym for being the first to turn 24 (don't whack me when you see this). From the bottom of my heart, I wish that you'll be happy and free from worries till the rest of your life. Together with weimin, I believe that's going to happen :)

Ok, starting our day with the Hotel's breakfast again with the menu changes a little every two days. We woke up early as we got to prepare for Chinatown exploring. If I didn't remember wrongly, Fang, Horsey, Rong Po and Kevin woke up late and therefore they had to rush. Rong Po even wore sleeping clothes and came down for breakfast just like that. A total Singaporean. Ha!

Everyday after breakfast, we developed a must-do event, the "feel" event. We would all go back to our rooms or the hotel lobby washroom to do it. Then we gathered back at the hotel lobby again to take cab to Chinatown. Split into 2 cabs but still, we got separated when we reached Chinatown (the area is very big and quite lost). But we eventually met up with each other with the help of the SUPER walkie talkie.

How do I describe Chinatown? A place with a lot of dusted bags and stuffs (I believed that almost all items there had collected dust for a long period of time). I did manage to buy some super cheap small storage bags at 10 Baht each (approx. $0.43 each). It was really amazing that Fang bought quite a lot of stuffs as we all thought Chinatown was not a good shopping stop.

Shark fin's soup and bird nest dessert were the main reason why we went to Chinatown. We did manage to find a shop that sells all these food, including dim sum and main courses (but super limited). The food is rather expensive and I only find it normal. Never mind, it's the experience we're looking for.

After Chinatown, our whole gang headed to MBK shopping mall for shopping. The main purpose is targeting at NaRaYa bags. Yes! All girls rushed to the NaRaYa shop once we got there, while the guys went for a sip of coffee at Star Bucks. Kevin was very thoughtful to buy a cup of Hot Chocolate for Weili when she casually mentioned it in the cab (Kevin thought we would came shortly after the NaRaYa stop but we didn't as we went crazy buying this and that). What can you expect from girls when they stepped into a Bag Shop? The Hot Chocolate eventually turned into Cold Chocolate and Kevin had no choice but to drink it up himself (can't possibly gave Weili the Cold drink).

A few hours of shopping after, we met up for dinner. Japanese food was delicious and fulfilling (big portions of rice and noodles). We really appreciate a lot for the Salmon treat from Kevin. Thanks! Headed back to the Hotel to prepare ourselves for the late night event, Bed Supper Club.

Ym's insisted activity of the day, DRINK DRANK DRUNK! To put it simple, it's a club for drinking and dancing. We were the first to reach (ladies get in for free before 11pm) and it's real weird. Nevertheless, we found some games to pass the time before the night starts. When it's nearing midnight, the music, party, dancing starts then. We were quite shy to enter the dance floor initially but summoned up our courage to step in for a hot dance (ym wanted a hot dance with cute guys badly for her bdae). There wasn't any cute guys which was the only disappointment of the day (defeats our main purpose) but we got to know that Rong Po and Horsey can really dance well. Thumbs up!
