Bangkok Trip Day 4

Day 4 – Wednesday, 12Jan2011
Day 4 was a sight-seeing day for us. After breakfast, we took Tu-tu rides to the riverside for the Chao Phrya River Express Boat Ride. I must say, I was really impressed by Fang’s bargaining skills. She helped us bargain from 500 Baht to 250 Baht each. I can still remember her firm expression when she told the women "No! 200 Baht". Although eventually we gave way to 250 Baht but we still saved a lot.

Our boat looks kind of unstable but still, we had some fun experience avoiding the river water (ym even took out her umbrella to shield) and feeding the river fishes. We boarded on shore after the ride and went to the temples around. Ym, Fang and FangQi tried out the Thailand costumes and took pictures with the temple background. KAWAII~

The temple’s steps were very steep but we managed to climbed to the top (apparently people who went there could all climbed up). When I came down from the steps, I had a acquaintance encounter with a Thailand lady. I helped her to take a photo and we began our conversation. It’s so amazing! She was a Thai but went to Singapore to work as a hair stylist for some time (which proves why her English was quite well spoken for a Thai). Ok, I’ll save the details for myself. The reason behind all those encounters I had? Maybe that’s because I look more friendly and harmless. Ha!

Everyone was so tired and exhausted after the sight-seeing and could only drag our feet to walk. We took cabs to find a place for dinner and were recommended a seafood restaurant by the cab driver. I could still remember the entertainment during our cab rides through walkie talkies. Ha! Ym (from another cab) sang a Thai song through the talkie to our cab driver. LOL!

In the end, we found that the seafood restaurant is not to our liking and therefore we changed location to MBK. We took the sky train (a.k.a. S'pore MRT system) to MBK and it’s really quite a hassle as we got to change trains for just a super short distance. We had pizza for dinner and it’s really delicious. I like the pizza best although baked rice were unique.

We did some shopping after then and head back the Hotel ourselves (guys and girls split). We concluded that Platinum was a better shopping place for us as in MBK, only NaRaYa could attract our attention.

Our last night in Bangkok, had to be our drinking session in our hotel rooms. But before that, we went for massage at the hotel. Weili had foot massage; Ym had Thai massage; FangQi, Henry, Fang, Horsey, Ch and me had Oil Massage. It’s really relaxing after a whole trip of tiredness (I even dozed off while the massage was on-going halfway and woke up after having some shock).

We gathered at Rong Po & Kevin’s room after the massage and played games to finish up the beer and alcohol we bought. Weili was the most unlucky one but she managed to push away some of the alcohol by drinking slowly. Ha! In the end, Kevin drank the most as he got better alcohol limit. I can still remember Horsey’s bunny ears hoping to and fro, Ym and Ch’s SORRY SORRY dance. It’s crazy! Last night in Bangkok, that’s about it!
